Program Completion

Students can satisfy the English language requirement of Missouri S&T by one of the following ways.

English Testing

Students can submit one of the following tests to meet the language requirement:

  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 79
  • IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5
  • PTE: Minimum score of 53
  • Duolingo: Minimum score of 105

English Language Proficiency TestING at Missouri S&T

At the end of each semester, students take the language proficiency test. The language proficiency test includes the Michigan, writing, listening, and oral language proficiency tests. Students are required to earn the following scores: 

  • Michigan Test of English Language Proficiency (MTELP): Minimum score of 75
  • Test of Writing Proficiency (TWP): Minimum score of 5
  • Test of Listening Proficiency (TLP): Minimum score of 78
  • Oral Proficiency Evaluation (OPE): Minimum score of 5

COMPLETING THE PROGRAM

 

A full-time IEP student who has received all A’s or B’s in their classes at the advanced level (level 4) meets the English language requirement at Missouri S&T.
