Upon Arrival

Follow these steps when you arrive to Missouri S&T's campus. If you have questions after you arrive, please contact us.

Once you have arrived in Rolla, please send an email to ia@mst.edu with a scanned copy of your 1) passport ID page, 2) visa, and 3) signed I-20/DS-2019. If you have dependents, please provide the same documents for each dependent. Upon receipt of your email, you will receive additional instructions for completing the check-in process.

Keep in mind that you can arrive in the United States up to 30 days prior to the program start date listed on your I-20 or DS-2019.

Email mstali@mst.edu to tell us that you arrived in Rolla. We will help enroll you in courses and provide additional information.

Set up your student account prior to the start of the semester. For information on setting up your student account and activating your email account, click here.

New International Student Orientation provides students the opportunity to:

  • Meet the International Affairs staff, campus administrators, faculty members, and other S&T students.
  • Learn more about living in Rolla and student life on campus.
  • Learn about valuable resources on campus and in the community to help adjust to life at S&T and be a successful student.

International students must purchase mandatory health insurance. We will coordinate a meeting with you and our International Insurance Advisor to purchase the required insurance.

The Intensive English Program Orientation is held on the first day of classes. Here, you will learn important information about campus resources, your English classes, and other relevant topics.

You should always attend your courses both in the Intensive English Program and at the university. You cannot pass the program if you do not regularly attend and participate in class.
